    Independent recommendations for SAC area?

Any independent shop recommendations for repair/maintenance in the SAC area? I have had bad experiences w/ Niello and I am looking for an independent. Thanks.

    Western Engineers in Elk Grove

Ted has a one-man shop and knows his stuff.

In Carmichael area I took my E34 to Euro-Am on Fair Oaks Blvd. Peter is the owner and he also belongs to our local club.

Those are the only two indy shops I've taken my Bimmers to.

Here's a couple I have been happy with...

German Motors Co. on Folsom Blvd west of Watt, and Schatz and Krum off Florin-Perkins Road. They have handled both my 7 and 8 series without any real problems. Both seem good and honest.

Euro-Am on Fair Oaks Blvd. near Manzanita

Peter worked on my E34 several times before I sold it. A friend of mine who had 3 Bimmers use to take his car there before he moved away, and he was always pleased with the work that was done. Peter is also a local club member.

Once my car is out of warranty, I'll probably start going back there. It's very convenient for me.

    Excellent, thanks!

I have nothing pressing to do right now, but when something cuts loose, I'd rather not pay Neillo's premium for repairs. Wife and I are thinking about ED of a 2006 E46 coupe before the series goes away.

    ED deliver sounds like fun!

I had the same reasoning when I purchased the '03 E39. I didn't like the E60s and knew I'd need a new car sometime during E60's lifetime.

Just in the discussion stage now.

The age old dilemma: Do we go new or keep existing and maintain it for and another hundred thousand miles? An E90 is not an option now that I've seen one in person.
