Electrical Fire
Hello, i am a happy owner of a 1988 528e, but im going to need some help on this one. Today i was coming home from the hardware store, made the turn into my neigborhood, my radio turned off! im like ok, make the turn on to my street the car turns off, lift the hood everything looks fine, although something smelled hot (wire smell). I call some friends they help me get in to the garage about 30mins later. i turned the key to the on postion, have my head in the engine bay, wires start up in a blaze!.... The wires that cought on fire were part of the engine harness, the wires went to the ignition coil, oil pressure sensor, and some blue wire (wires located in front of the waterpump) i replaced all the wires, and bought a new ignition coil, but guess what still no spark!!!! Think its the ECU?? HELP!
