Input Please re: Cargo Capacity of 1er

My wife, 10-year old son, and I will be in Germany this July and August for about three weeks. I'm intrigued with the 120d and would love to get my hands on the 130i, as my last three days will be spent on the 'Ring. But, the 1er looks kind of tight for three with baggage for three weeks. For you folks on the other side of the Pond who have experience in the 1er, here's the question:
Is the cargo space for a 1er a whole lot less than the space in a 330i? And, do the rear seats in a 1er fold down for direct access to the back storage area? Likewise, do the rear seats fold down on a 330i or 320d?

As far as I know 130i is available from Sept,its not on sale yet.
Cargo capacity is 330 liters in comparision to 460 l in the 3er series.rear seats fold 60/40,hat rest can be taken out,you then have 1130 liters without the kid,with the kid you should have around 800 liters if you load up to the roof.
3ers have folding rear seats as an option,rentals might or might not have them.I would look for a touring 3er or a 1er.
