Re: Anybody heard of Longwood Industries?
We too recieved a call from "Tasha" and Allen asking about our 2004 Nissan Titan. They said they had seen our ad posted in the newspaper and or online...well, we had not even posted it at the time they called. They were willing to give us our full asking price of 19,500.00 in return for a $150.00 posting fee.
They asked for a credit card number to post the ad and they would be returning $130.00 of the fee should the truck not sell in 60 days.
I got a "customer ID number" and the address where to send the check.
I told my mother i would check into this company and lo and behold I found this site.
Thank you, thank you!!
We will steer clear of Longwood Industries and i have told my mother to ignore the calls should they call again!

People upset with longwood...read here!
Ok so I also fell for Longwood's perfect scenario to sell a car. NOw i read that everyone feels scammed out of their money. I've yet to call them for my refund, but i feel like it may be a problem for me as well to get a refund too. Anybody ready for a class action law suit.. the more unhappy people the better!! email me so we can have justice against this sneaky company!!
they charged me 140 and my car is sitting in the driveway still!!

Re: People upset with longwood...read here!
I only received phishing scams from Africa when I used the Longwood services. When my car didn't sell within, 60 days, I followed (closely) the instructions for a refund. That was in April. It's July and I have not been refunded my $150 nor have I receive any correspondence to that end. When I call to express my displeasure, I'm shuffled off to interminable HOLD. Surly the large numbers of people who are given false information would motivate some sort of legal action. I'd be happy to provide my information toward that cause.

Re: Anybody heard of Longwood Industries?
Allen called us too. Luckily, my wife asked me to check them out. What really stinks is that Longwood Industries is using the developmentally challenged people to promote their scams. I hope someone follows up with the legal side of this to put Longwood out of business.

Re: Anybody heard of Longwood Industries?
Thank you to all of you who posted. I also got the call from Allen 2 days after posting on Craigslist. I called and of course Allen wasn't in but a nice lady told me about the deal. I thought it sounded too good to be true, which my son agreed, but I thought I'd check the web. Thanks to all of you, and I hope you get your money back.

Re: Anybody heard of Longwood Industries?
I got a call from "Allan" today regarding my vehicle I have listed on Autotrader. I figured I'd call back and see what their guarantee was all about, and when I declined their offer due to what I believed were empty promises of buyers only wanting to purchase through them, I got an odd reply "...well, that's very unfortunate." When I asked why it's so unfortunate, she stated she would have to tell her clients that my vehicle is not available. Considering I have it listed on Autotrader, it sounds a little frodulent to me they would be going around telling people it's not available. Certainly not anyone I feel I would want to do business with. I really question their 501-C(3) non profit status, as well as their ethics in utilizing mentally and physically challenged persons to drive their business based on fraudulent statements.

Re: Anybody heard of Longwood Industries?
Allan called me twice to post my ad after seeing it on Craigs List. He told me he had interested buyers looking for a vehicle like mine. I wasn't having too much luck so I took the bait. After 60 days I still had not received a single call after advertising with Longwood Industries. My initial cost was $150.00 but got it all back except for a $29.00 processing fee. If you go with them be sure to follow the directions to the letter or you will not receive your refund. This includes having to get the receipt notarized. A bank official/ date-stamp seems to be enough to satisfy their requirements. You must adhere to the dates specified and post a picture on their site to qualify for the refund. I eventually sold my vehicle through a local paper.

Eh, it's a 3-year-old thread!
It shows that:
1) Yes, it's a ripoff
2) This board is dead as fried chicken. Amazing given how much interest people still have in these M5's, but I guess everyone that cares is over at m5board dot com.
