    Treo 650, Bluetooth and 05 BMW X-5 w/motorola ibus

My treo 650 will pair and I am able to use the vehicle to place a call until the contacts, not sure which one tries to load and then I get cut off and my phone will go into a reset mode constantly. I tried removing the contacts and favorites then soft and hard resets to no avail. I have downloaded the recent upgrade 1.03 (?) can't remember but it wasn't for the bluetooth. I am looking for help with the Motorola IBUS Nav system for my 2005 BMW X-5. Including any hacks.

I have a new x5 and it pairs fine with a vzw v710 but not with the vzw treo 650. The 650 has the latest update patch from Verizon, which should give the same functionality as the Sprint patch. Has anyone had success with an x5 and a vzw treo??

My lawyer sued palm and in the answer complaint they stated that Verizon's Treo 650 patch is being held up by Verizon. With this info
I contacted Verzion and they stated they are not going to release the
patch for the Treo 650 to be compatable with the BMW officially. If
anyone knows of a hack patch I would be interested. Also the free cancellation of the contract, this is true I questioned them at their 800 number and they did confirm a wavier of the 175.00 and that depending the source service I could keep the phone number.

Tony I purchased a Motostart head set bluetooth from T-Mobil and found
when I make a call I have to switch over to speaker on the 650 and then I hear through the head set. When pairing with the X-5 after you
pair and the device is accepted as a trusted device be sure to turn off the vehicle and also the bluetooth. I will try to use the speaker
setting from the 650 and see if the bluetooth works.

I got the VZW treo 650 to pair with my M3. You

need to make sure you have the BT/Assist module with -114 or later generation. The first generation BT/Assist module does not seem to pair well with the VZW Treo 650.

Also make sure your "speed dial" list has no extra digits or "pauses" in the phone number section.

Re: Treo 650, Bluetooth and 05 BMW X-5 w/motorola ibus

I have been trying to get my Verizon Treo 650 to coorectly connet trhough Bluetooth with my 2005 BMW 645. My treo was constantly cycling through a reset. I tried a another user's suggestion to make sure all the speed dials (FAVORITEs) on the Treo had the "Dial Extra Digits automatically" unchecked. I happened to try this after I used the "Treo 650 Updater 1.04 (Verizon)" released on 10/17/05 located at http://www.palm.com/us/support/treo/treo650verizon/.
My Treo 650 now pairs and works very well with the BMW 645 without resetting. Only the speed dials (FAVORITEs) are available for dialing from the BMW menus, but this is fine with me. Maybe this will work for other BMWs

Re: Treo 650, Bluetooth and 05 BMW X-5 w/motorola ibus

I questioned a red light which was on steady while in GA, and was told
I did not know what I was talking about. After going to Sprint, Cingular, and Verizon not of the BMW approved phones with bluetooth would work with my 2005 X-5 4.4. Today the BMW dealer her in NY replaced the Telematics Control Unit and bingo my Treo 650 from Verizon downloaded all of my favoriates in about two seconds, and my
bluetooth now works. I have the BMW Everest IBUS made by motorola, with the Nav system and all is working correctly. It has taken me from
May 24 until 10 Nov to correct this problem. The OBEX or bluetooth file transfer has nothing to do with bluetooth and BMW system.

I just purchase an 2006 x5 and have the treo 650 verizon. I went to the palm website downloaded the new version 1.04 and then it still didnt' work. After review of a blog someone made the suggestion that uncheck the speed dial where it says dial extra numbers. I did that and I can't believe it worked beautifully. After Palm said it isn't compatible, bmw said it wasn't compatable...the guy at verizon went on the net and found a blog with the suggestion.
