High mileage? How many do you have?

I curiuos to see how many miles some of you guys have on your E34 M5s. Especially the ones that have never had the engined opened.

I got 161k out of mine before a rebuild. I did track it regularly, 15 days year or so.

I got 212K miles never opened motor,pulls like a train (freak of nature}

I did have the head/cam tray removed when they did the timing chain and tensioners and so on. The good news is that the master tech said everything inside looked like it was still in very good shape. So, apparently these magnificent motors are a marvel of technology-over 300 hp I6, daily runner that can get 200k miles before it goes. Life doesn't get much better than that.Steven

A sudden loss of power and ticking sound. I had a valve spring break and some of the piston land come off.

Admittedly, I sold her for fear of need of major rebuild. Engine and powertrain were still strong, never rebuilt.

Would a 1991 E34 M5 mint condition, no wrecks, 130k, 5 speed, all original, black on gray, and regularly serviced with records be priced fairly good at $13,500 ? Am looking at one and was curious what I should offer.

Hope you dont mind me posting this here. I have a E34 525i Sport which has the same styling and suspension as the M5. I dont know much of its history but it has 265,000 on the clock, I have had the headgasket done recently. Unusually it is in a rare "Daytona Violet metallic" paint.
