A very nice 1973 BMW 3.0 CSL Lightweight is
currently for sale at Heritage Classics. I know many of you are fans of this particular car, so I thought I'd share the info. These guys are just down the road from me, so if anyone is interested I can go take a closer look, and report back. -link-

Did you notice the Z8 in the background of picture
number one in their slide show (silver with black interior)?
This car has been for sale for quite some time. I initially about 5 - 6 months ago began looking for an older somewhat collectible daily driver and was looking at the early 70's 3.0 CS models. This car was for sale then. It appears to be in great shape. I think they were asking around $32L then so the price has increased??? The 3.0 CS or CSL were known for rusting, due to poor wheel well design. My research I found that many people who own these cars retrofit Volvo fender wells in the car to prevent water from going up and in between the wheel well and the body panels to minimize rusting them out. I decided this vehicle was to radical looking for my daily use needs and Ultimately, I ended up with a the '88 M6 instead.
Still .... the car would be an excellent addition to someones collection considering how rare it is. I think a price of about $8 - 10K less would be more appropriate but Z8 Andy may be the one to ask as I think he has a beautiful Blue 3.0 CS he found in Canada and was a wealth of information to me.
