Horrible Dealer Experience-BEWARE of Laurel BMW
I just experienced one of the worst Dealer experiences of my life. My wife and I just had our third baby and I thought that now was the right time to sell my beloved '97 M3 coupe in favor of an X5. I found a great looking CPO '01 X5 4.4 at Laurel BMW in Westmont, IL with 20K miles. Test drove it Saturday evening, called Monday and negotiated the purchase price with the salesman (Chris Cole) on the phone Monday morning. The General Manager of the dealership (Patrick Womack) authorized the deal @ $31,750 at 12:45 pm and the game plan was for me to fax in my BMW NA finance app via fax and come back in the evening with my dep check, sign a few papers and drive it home that night.
At 4pm, I received a call from the salesman telling me that he had "bad news"--the car was sold. The dealership flat out sold the car from under me after we had deal! According to their story, the car had been sold at 9am that morning--ironically a full 3 hours and 45 minutes before the general manager agreed to my offer! I was given a half-hearted "I'm sorry" from the sales rep but nothing more. I have since called back to speak with the general manager and have been given the run around (he has been out of the office every time I call and has not returned any voicemails. Pat Womack must be a very busy man. Moreover, the sales rep has refused to return my calls as well. Completely unprofessional.
This has to be the one of the most unscrupulous dealerships that I have ever dealt with! Beware and stay away from this dealership and their unethical sales and management staff.

Re: Horrible Dealer Experience-BEWARE of Laurel BMW
I just happen to read how "horrible" I was to this man.
This gentelman would NOT leave us a deposit, when called to leave one, refused. What am I to do? Sit in the corner and turn purple waiting for him to "maybe" come back to buy it?
This guy was given the first shot to buy the car, he could not make up his mind, one of the other managers sold the car to someone who came in to buy it.
I personally called this gentelman the next day and explained the situation. EVERY call he ever made was returned.
Sometimes there are BAD customers, my people work very hard for their money and deserve to be treated with respect.
This gentelman did not respect anyones time or effort.

Re: Horrible Dealer Experience-BEWARE of Laurel BM
I got the horrible experience in Laurel BMW of Westmont too yesterday.
We had a 03BMW 525i leased for almost 3 years. We went to Laurel BMW of Westmont to get a new car lease. The salesman Jeff Abbas told us a lot of fancy things about the deal for 06BMW 525xi. We trusted him.
Jeff Abbas didn't tell us any other costs beside the monthly pay and downpay. We were not told the actual purchase price of the car. The closer urged us to sign the doc, he was very impatient and rude. We paid $4688 by credit card, monthly pay will be $545 (10000mile per yr) for two years.
After signed contract, we realized the car price is $48782, and some extra fees occurred in the contract, such as acquisition fee $625, doc fee $55, most terrible, a rent charge of $4049.
After lunch, we still felt very uncomfortable about the deal. So we returned and requested to cancel. The manager came out and told us all the paper already submitted to the bank (Saturday late afternoon), threaten us to pay big money if cancel the deal. We realized this is a lease can't be cancelled although we just signed a few hours ago.
Besides, we just found we need pay other $350 when lease ends.
We are international contractors working in US, and we love this country. Unfortunately we got the worst experience ever. Maybe this is the dark side of this country's society. These people can do anything to fool the customer in order to make money.
Laurel BMW of Westmont definitely is the worst car dealer we have experienced. We would tell everyone to void this dealer.

Re: Horrible Dealer Experience-BEWARE of Laurel BMW
I have worked with Pat Womack for many years. He is an outstanding citizen. Of course if you dont put a deposit on a car u cant expect to get it. First man to the mill gets it. What a terrible customer, what do you expect to get for nothing? Keep on dreaming.
Go hme to mama and whine.

Horrible Dealer BEWARE of IRVINE BMW-SoCal
Beware of Irvine BMW in SoCal, USA. My A/C was not cooling, I figured the freon was low. They came up with total BS reason, they had to pull my dash board out to fix the heater core. only $4500. When I said no, they managed to cut a $1000 off the bill. No!! In the process they recharged the a/c and now it is fine. A few months later, and nearing the end of my extended warrantee, I had a dash light bulb burn out. the others were fine. The same dealer said they had the replace the entire circuit board, only for $1200. I went to an independent BMW shop who said you NEVER pull a dashboard for a start, and replaced the burned out 89 cents bulb for $100 bucks. A once busy dealership, where I bought my 2002 X5 is now almost a ghost town. No wonder. What good is the extended warrantee I purchased if the dealership is so blantently
a rip off?
