    Sac Valley Event 9-24 Volcano Lunch/Drive

    Once again I've put together a drive/lunch to the St. George Hotel in Volcano. Last year we had a blast on the drive, and a great lunch. Check out the link and let me know if you're interested in joining us. I need lunch orders by Thurs., 9/15.

    Well I had thought about going but someone around here is:
    A: Having a convention in Santa Clara
    B: Will FINALLY be finishing up her thesis and defending it that weekend.
    C: The older son will be performing his first semi-professional musical performance at the convention

    Most women have pretty good aim!

    Car is good. They need to adjust the truck latch, but that's about it. I'm happy with it. We'll miss you tomorrow!

    Well, she received her masters but had a big glitch. We couldn't get the powerpoint projector to work and had to dig up another one 20 minutes after she started the presentation. Backtracked a little on the slides but went well. It looked like a good day for traveling and the roads were probably dry too. Last year I was worried about the wet roads and all the pine needles. Not a good combination.

    Oh, you missed a beautiful day in the foothills! I didn't take many pictures, so will have to gather up some from others who participated and will post them. Sorry about your wife's situation. We run into that problem at work, and it's no fun.

    Of course it was a fun drive! Luckily I was able to travel back and forth to Santa Clara a couple of times so it was worth it.
