J-metal Engine mount sheared off! (long)

The J-shaped metal engine mount that sandwiches the rubber against the engine has sheared off pushing the fan close to the radiator. Is this something that can be welded back on?

It's a common problem, and a good welder can fix it without removing the engine or totally disassembling the car. You may, however, have to remove the steering box.

go to a wrecking yard and get one!

If you are talking about the one under the passenger side mount, just remove one from a wreck with no engine. You will need a six mm allen socket and a 13 mm socvket and 13 mm wrench. It doesn't adjust the engine away from the fan but keeps the engine from moving forward under heavy braking. You may have other problems like a cracked subframe next to the steering box. Check your trans. mount too! O==00==O
