    Subject: Re: 19" SSR GT3's : $1,500

    Hello steve
Thanks writing back so soon.I am okay with $1500* as the price of the
    item 19" SSR GT3's : $1,500 however,as written in my first mail,
    Am a marketer by
profession would be leaving for london to attend to some business and
the item is urgently needed at my west african sales branch and as i
told you earlier pickup and shipping of the item would be arranged and
also the payment for the item would be made via a cashiers check but i
would need you to know that the payment and shipping of the item has
been budjected as one and here is where i would be counting on you a
certified cashiers check of the sum of $4550* would be made out to you so
you are to cash the check and deduct the $1500* for the item and them have
the rest sent to the private shipper via western union who would only
come to pick up the item after he comfirms and receives his payment.
If you do feel this arrangement is okay and comfortable with then
pls do get back to me with a name you would like the check made out to
and an address where the check can arrive to you safely and also a
    contact phone or fax number.
I look forward to the conclusion of this transaction asap hope to
    hear from you soon.
    Yours Faithfully
    Garcia Latz

    Re: Look at this scam!

Same here!!!! Later on, I rec'd a cashier ck of $25K in mail from London, UK in a brown envelope w/o any return address. And the ck was issued by Farmers State Bank in Main St, Booneville, KY 41314
    (606) 593-5151. So I called the bank and found out it's a forged ck and they said the fraud has been reported which started like a yr ago...

    Hello Barry,

Thanks for your urgent response,i will be very grateful if you will just leave this Vehicle for me to buy it because my client has been disturbing me about this your particular model.

With regards to what you said about the payment, i told my client all you said and he said that since he has a cashier's check of ($25,000) which is a payment for a previous Vehicle and its shipment charges etc,but it was unfortunately sold. The amount on the check he deposited for the Vehicle is bigger than what should be paid to you now, so the check is now meant for the total expenses which includes the purchase of your Vehicle, the pick up of the Vehicle from its present location and the shipping charges/other necessary shipping arrangements. However he has instructed us to carry on with this transaction. So you're required to deduct the cost of your Vehicle ($17,000) and send the balance of ($8,000) to Our Shipping Agent via western union money transfer to enable him offsett shipping charges/arrangements.

This development is due to our company policy which stipulates that this Check has to be made out in this amount, because company policy only allows a refund payment on one cashier's check.

Once the payment has been confirmed by you,my Agent will be coming for the pick up of the Vehicle from its present location and then drive to a pre paid shipper for shipment, and also conclude other necessary shipping arrangements.so you dont have to bother yourself about the pick up and shipping arrangements, while title papers and other necessary documets will be sent by you via fedex courier to my customer. Please Confirm this and provide NAME,ADDRESS and PHONE NUMBER for check payment to be delivered to you via fedex courier .

    Thanks and God bless,

    Regards,
    Edgard.
    Sales/Purchase Manager.

How could you sell the car without let us know?i promised you that you will get your payment, however we have seen another car to purchase, but since the check has been issued in your name my client said that you should cash the check and send the balance to the agent and shipper while the remaining funds will be picked up over the weekend. He has accepted to compersate you for the run around. Please try to do that today so we could meet up with our limited time frame cos this car is a wedding present to my client's daughter.

    Regards

Let them keep wasting postage stamp

Tell them you didn't receive the fake check and ask them to send another one. I doubt they used any tracking service.
