My "Book"

After some GREAT work by Bill Stewart at BMWNA, in NJ, I finally received "The Book" last night. What a great tribute to a wonderful car. I've waited a year.
Bill was a tremendous help and the ultimate customer service rep. He restores my faith in at least some segments of the service industry.

I'm hooked on BMW's. I hope to soon add a new M6 to my stable of Z8, 4.8 X5 and M3 Cab.

All of you who recently received your Books, are you original owners? I know the first owner never received his, so I'm hoping my Book is still out there.

I never actually spoke to Bill until he called me to say my book was coming.

I called normal customer service and asked for him. The person said that they could help me and I didn't need to talk with him. I told them what I wanted, and they said that only the original owner could get the book.

I explained that the original never got it, and Bill had helped people track the book down for the current owners in such cases. They said they would see what they could do. About a week later they called back saying that they were still working on it.

About 5 weeks later Bill calls to say it is on the way.

I know Bill's number can be be found if you do a search as I found it after I made my call.

From what I know, direct contact with Bill tends to get a faster result, but regular customer service did get mine, albeit I did drop Bill's name.

You've all got it right. Bill is tops in my book.
Tyler, the number and email I have for Bill is as follows. I am my Z's second owner, but the first owner said he could never get the book. Whether these are reprints or not, I don't know. Yet, mine has the proper VIN tag on the cover, etc.
