The code i was given by the dealership was 16326 but it did not work. can you help?

have a1996 bmw z3 just bought the car and am re building it dont have the book or any codfs how do i get the radio code?

There were two brand radio in my 2000 coupe. The Blaupunkt and Alpine. The dealer(s) only had the Code for the Alpine. Mine is a Blaupunkt. Months past and then I found "Blunkpunkt USA" out of Chicago area. I talked to them in person and the "tech" said he'd research it. A few days later he called me with the Code.
