Stone and chip protection in this area?
I'm sure this has been discussed before, but as of yesterday I am officially old so you have to humor me.
The Z has several little stone chips on the hood needing touchup and then I want to get the front wrapped in that clear film to protect it from further damage. Who/what is the best in the D/FW area to handle this?
Tanx.

I had my Z8 done through Autobahn in Ft Worth. I forget who they used, but he was a local guy who they use all the time. The 3M film has worked out very well. I put it on the hood/nose and along the rear of the cockpit where the hard top rests on the body. Great stuff!
Good luck.

Re: Stone and chip protection in this area?
How long ago did you have yours done? I took mine by Autobahn to see about the same. They had a guy onsite that does the install, but they only use precut patterns, which have a maximum width of 24". So, there's a lot of hood left unprotected. They'll do the install for $500.
I'm more interested in the large sheet wrap similar to one of the project cars at Discovery Automotive.

Re: Stone and chip protection in this area?
The pictures on the web site do not do the process justice..... First of all the film used is not 3M for a couple reaons that at this moment are not important what is however id the fact that the film is so fricken clear and smooth that even with you hands on it it can not tell there is a coating...... no seams......... In a word.....awesome..... then add to this the team that installs it for us will travel.......
If you have any questions please call or PM me.
BTW, they do complete body wraps too for the truly extreme..... they just comleted two Porsche GT's and a Ford GT last week........ not to mention the ENZO's they have done too.
Take care
