    likely yes but why?

if you have an x5 and a g500 those two would seem to be perfect 'winter wheels' - just leave the m5 in the garage. i've driven an mcoupe in the snow and while it's certainly doable it's not particularly fun. scary at times even. the m5 would only be much more so.

    Re: likely yes but why?

Its time to go for my 2001 X5 and I'll be selling my 530 as well ones M5 arrives...G500 my wifes car.for me snow days here in Boston i'll be driving my daily driver A3 3.2 S-line. I have set of snows on 18' BMW wheels and instead of selling it i was thinking to keep it for M5 just in case if they fit...
If not i'll be selling them on ebay soon...------------------------------------------------------------

the bolt pattern and offset ought to be similar...

but i don't know how well the 18" would fit over the brakes. i suppose you could just try it when the m5 shows up. personally, in your situation i'd just sell the wheels. ymmv.

just my opinion but I don't think you'd enjoy the

car to much with these tires unless they are H rated snows. Regular non-performance snow tires are going to ride rough and on cold dry pavement you might burn out the light bulb for the traction control light even in P400 mode. It would probably be a lot like driving an AMG Mercedes.
