Sports and Imports in VA Beach has done quite....

a few of those swaps. Budget $10k if you don't have the motor and ancillaries, and maybe $6k if you do.

Mike Robinson has done quite a few of those...

Low mileage S50s and S52s are getting tougher to find, so you'll have to contact Mike to see what he can find.

This will slightly change the handling balance of the car because you are adding weight to the nose, but it will be offset by the huge increase in HP and Q. You can either go the route of dropping in a engine/transmission from an E36 M3, or you can keep the original transmission and use the adapter plate that Mike designed for the conversion.

I've enclosed his website, but you should really give him a call to discuss the job. He can give you estimates on price, time of conversion, etc...

    Cheers!
