You'll enjoy the area...
I'm originally from Laguna Beach and it was a big change moving to Dallas, but I've grown to enjoy it. Even more so I've enjoyed getaway trips down to Austin and the Hill Country. Gorgeous area. Good luck!

I've been in and around it for 25 years sorta,
but only a couple of weeks at a time in the summers on vacations. It's a long story but we were 25 years in Germany. My wife is now teaching in GTMO. I am dropping the car off in Kerrville and will take up residence in GTMO during the winters and be in Kerrville for the summers and Christmas. I am retiring to be a house husband and kept man. If you're retiring to Kerrville, you might want to
consider taking up motorcycling or getting a sports car. You're going to be smack dab in the middle of some of the best driving roads in Texas, and there's nothing as beautiful as the twisty mountain road that takes you out of Kerrville towards Rock Springs (but I'll be damned if I can remember the name of it right now!). Pretty much every weekend of the year you're likely to see hoardes of bikes and drop tops converging on the area. So many different day drives/rides I couldn't even begin to count them. Congrats, you're moving to where many of us wish we could, unfortunately by the time I retire land down there will probably require a lottery winning or two to afford. :) Scott

Re: I'll be arriving on the 11th or 12th of February
Sorry guys, I work in Boerne and it's a Toyota dealer being built next to the MB dealer, I drive by everyday... about your 645, have you heard of the 30th Anniversary of the 6 series, it's going to happen on May 20th at the Spartanburg, SC factory, check bmwsharkfest.org for more info and Welcome to Texas!

Re: BMW dealer in Boerne?
San Antonio is getting another BMW dealership.
This one will be part of a huge automall to be built as part of the GINOMOUS The Rim development in far northwest San Antonio.
The automall will have 7 dealerships (BMW, Lexus, Land Rover to name a few) and two adjacent testing sites.
It'll be off of i-10 near Camp Bullis Rd.
