    RFT to non-runflats

I'm interested in any personal experience of switching out of the stock run-flats to non-run-flats, particularly any changes in, steering feel, ride and handling. My suspicion is that all will improve but would appreciate any first hand opinion or observation. Thanks.

    just do it

This is probably the first and most common mod on the Z8. There is no downside to it as far as driving is concerned, improvements on all sides as you described.

If you are concerned about a puncture you could get one of the M mobility kits from BMW and have it in the trunk. I have it, and I have never used it, however, it's there just in case.

    Cheers,
    Dieter

    Agree- big improvement

Ride improves noticeably. Also handling and grip. Also the MPS are lighter than the RFTs so unsprung weight is reduced. Each pound of unsprung weight reduction is equal to around 3.5 lbs of sprung weight reduction. One thing to note- the rumor is MPS2 tires will be available in our Z8 sizes this Spring. The PS2 are supposed to be better in every way.
