Just fitted Z3 short throw shifter...WOW

For those of you thinking about this upgrade, do it. It is nice and tight and about 35% shorter.
Call Patrick from BMA and tell him you want the Z3 short throw kit. It comes with the rod, balljoint, and washers for like $75.
I took me about 45 minutes to install and feels great.

    Are the shifts notchy?

There was one installed in mine when In purchased it.. it was promptly removed as it was much more pressure to get it into gears. Are you seeing this same issue? did you notice any difference other then shorter shifts? When I went back to stock all was much easier.

    Second was almost impossible...

yes the shifts are more notchy, it is much more tight (no slop or play).
still shifts into gears fine just a little harder due to shorter shaft i guess.
    overall i am vere satisfied.
