With a less than brillant debut, the BMW Sauber F1 team obviously has work to do. JV's unfortunate blowup means a fresh motor for Sepang, which could be an advantage if they found the reason for his Dubai retirement.

The Speed broadcast failed to catch Heidfeld getting turned around by Nico Rosberg in the T2 area on Lap 1. The resulting stop put him a lap down and out of sequence. I think both cars are capable of finishes in the lower half of the top ten for the next two races, but clearly need some development to be in any sort of contention when F1 returns to Europe.
