    Magnaflow catalytic converter?

    Anyone have any experiences with a Magnaflow cat? I saw this at www.drivewire.com:

    http://performance.drivewire.com/getparts/index.aspx?pdef=Catalytic%20Converter|Bmw|M5|1988| |||||Exhaust%20System

    Not trying to advertise for them, but I know even for a DEC cat it costs $400. So if this one comes close to a DEC or OEM, why not just spend $90 for this one???

    Maybe because it is the wrong part - they list >

    the 94007 as a dual in and out cat. Magnapure's site says that the 94007 is a dual in and a single out! The 94008 is a dual 2" in and out. That one might be the one to try.

    ok...so assuming the 94008 is the correct one, anyone ever use a Magnaflow cat? Don't necessary have to have used it on an M5, just want to know how the quality and performance is compared to DEC or even stock, given it's soooooo much cheaper.

    Reminder

    Don't forget that the DEC CAT has all the correct lengths of pipe with the flanges you need for connections. It is a direct replacement part...

    This "may" not matter to you if you're doing a complete custom job but it may well be worth the extra $$$ if you are not.
