    Does it matter if the one of the OEM thrust arm bushings is installed upside down? What I mean is that the bushing mark is aligned correctly towards the arm, but one of them is installed flipside.

    yes it does matter

    they're designed to take load in a certain direction, if installed wrong, they will fail much more quickly.
