Now THAT is what I'm aiming for!
I can't help but clean and maybe repaint the engine bay whilst empty. Most of the hardware still there will be cleaned up, and made to look as new as possible. I'm not going for concourse, but I'd love to have a very clean engine that looks sorta like that.

Why are we so impressed by BMW POWER M6 engine shots? I have just finished installing artwork in our university gallery from our graduating BFA Seniors. Their final projects are falling off the walls, duct tapped parts are sagging, choice of frames look like a K-Mart bargain basement closeout. What has happened to craftsmanship? Ask students to consider how they present their work and they look at you like pride in craftsmanship is totally lame. I'm impressed with M6 because of the care, patience, knowledge, skill, attention to detail and effort that obviously went into making this impressive example of mechanical engineering. More art here than I've seen in a long time. Thanks for restoring my faith in those who value craftsmanship.

Okay I saw a piece of lint on the Fuse Cover!!!
Okay now you got me motivated to dress up the engine bay. Called Steve Haygood and ordered a bunch of new fancy clean doodads.new pure white resivors, new fuse cover,also picked up a new, a new cigarette lighter(do not smoke), new rear M5 badge, some trunk clips, throttle plugs, some new horns....I also have a Paul LaDue Stress bar coming fedex for friday.
