Hamburg-Technic control arm / steering sets - ebay
Anyone have any experience with the Hamburg-Technic control arm / steering sets being sold by FCP Groton on ebay, aside from the fact that the upper control arms should have the bushings replaced with the newer HD meyle units? Thanks in advance, Dennis

Re: Hamburg-Technic control arm / steering sets - ebay
Hamburg Technic quality sucks in my experience. The packaging may say "Made in Germany", but quality is more eastern Asia. I had two center links with the same loose ball joint. It was a good thing the alignment shop had a no questions asked warranty as the Meyle replacement was the same dimensions as the HT.
FCP Groton on the other hand is very good to deal with. They had no problems with the replacements, including sending out a Meyle link the third time. Customer service was prompt and pleasant. I'd have no problems dealing with them again, though I've since found Steve Heygood.

Hamburg Technic
I have often used & sold OEM Hamburg Technic Parts. They are great, as good as Lemfoerder. Direct Easy fit. You have to make sure that each & everyone piece comes in its individual bag with part no., Logo etc. If the Kit comes with some Neutral Parst then they are being mixed by the Seller.
Hamburg technic also has OEM Parts for New Cars(BMW 3, X5,X3, 7 series etc.) that others dont have besides the dealer.
Hamburg Technic also has HD Bushings that are the same as "Dinan". Infact they are the supplier to Dinan.
Also beware of Counterfits on Hamburgtech & Clones. Many jealous ones out there.

WRONG!!!
Hamburg Technic is a re-seller of third world produced, quality control rejected parts. Ocap of India for instance. And Ocap are JUNK! If a part fails Ocap's quality control system they are sold to HT. Besides Ocap suspension parts are sourced from India, China, Singapore, etc. HT simply weeds out those parts obviously flawed and repackages them as Hamburg Technic.
I have pulled the boots on HT control arms to find no grease had the boots tear with my fingers...
My experience limits the useful life of HT parts to 18 months but I've seen swaybar links last less than a week!
Not only are you getting junk and wasting your many you can be creating a dangerous situation.
BEWARE!
