    Offer Alpina??

Guys, I've just been offered a late 98 B10 3.2 Alpina, Silver/black, 66,000miles and one of my peers has got the lady to drop the price to £7,000 = $11,900 (@$1.7-£1)

It has updated lghts, and original, fully loaded as Alpina's are, with TFT's, Sat Nav, DVD Player, and 02 M5 exhaust and rear bumper, with orginal available.

What do you reckon? Worth this price or...

    Views much appreciated

Only today I've also purchased a good deal (I trade):

Late 02 M5, gloss black/black w cream piping, 32000miles, for £20000, with warranty still remaining, and in excellent condition, with AC Schnitzer 19's and AP racing 4 and 6 pot calipers etc (many more extra's).

Taking £1 to be $1.7, thats $34,000- superb it'll do for me!

Both I've not seen yet, but an assocaite has and has faxed me some details, from another part of the country.

    Re: B10 exhaust

I'm in the UK for now, yes.

Don't plan on staying here for long, maximum another 4-5 weeks.

The exhaust, is in very good condition, but my intention was never to sell it, rather to stick it back on.

And the bumper is to go back on as well, and I've already finalised a deal to sell both the 02 M5 exhaust and rear bumper.

Sorry Steve, if I had known, I could have asked from the sellers son, who also has the same Alpina, and does not have OEM bits on.... including the exhaust.

But only way I was able to get it cheap was like a childhood crush, lady had on me. Since assocaites in the UK all thought I'm long dead, seeing me, and later recognising through my voice, a calm controlled lady went a bit hysterical.
She asked if I was the main dealer a friend had been purchasing for, I affirmed. She told how shes going France and then Spain for a while (parents and sister there) and was thinking of selling this car, but didn't want to go through the long process, with all the work involved it seemed daunting to her.
I offered to sell for her (obviously free), but she refused. Two days later she met my fiancee and handed car keys over. Another day later she came to one of fiancee's apartments and finalised the deal...

Having lost contact with my fiancee for a few days, when I met her she informed me of all the happenings, and that this lady wanted me to phone her when I'm free. Did phone, and she gave me her banking details to transfer £7000 to, as she will only take that much from me (I can't repeat her reasons).

Now shes out into France for a while. Her son's took his Alpina with him.

Theres a story, in fact form.

Off the topic .... many miles.

Yes, its a very cheap buy according to my knowledge, n the condition I recieved it...at 30-40% its price.

Probably last auto I'm buying for a while now.

A question for you though...How much are you willing to pay for a working condition Alpina exhaust sytem?

Thus I can infrom you if I am informed of a buy for you.

Be sure to let me know

    Re: B10 exhaust

    Adam,

I've seen the B10, it is currently for sale on the good old bay of E ?! Are you selling it on ?

For a full exhaust in good working condition I'd be prepared to pay £500 (turned one down years ago as it was at the wrong time and been kicking myself ever since) however really I only need the rear section for my car.........

If one becomes available I'd definitely be interested.

    Cheers

    RE: B10

I apologise if I mislead you anywhere...but I don't own an Alpina retailing on Ebay right now.

But the picture of your car, looks good.. really.

Amazing work you've done. SO your after full Alpina parts I guess?
    Or only the exhaust?

Anyway how do the DDE's work for you? Which bulbs are they holding at current?

I'm thinking of upgrading my 02 M5's OEM Angel Eye's but am not exactly sure what difference to expect with the various market versions of headlights.
Defnitely getting some Diamond Blue Xenon Plus HID H11 100watt bulbs though.

I'll keep a look out for the exhaust though.

    Re: B10

You've not mislead me just that they is a silver '98 B10 3.2 on bay of E that is exactly the same as the one you described in your original post - mileage, M5 exhausts etc is currently for sale.

Thanks, I am pleased with how my car looks. The car came supplied new with all the Alpina equipment and ACS mirrors all I have added is proper BMW clears all round, M5 grill and the DDE Angel Eye lights as I feel the BMW Angel Eyes make the front look to friendly :)

My DDE's work well however I do suffer the cold start up problem. I have them running on my sidelight circuit.

As for parts I am really only after the exhaust to complete the look though if an instrument cluster from a B10 3.2 switchatronic became available I'd be tempted by that as well.

    Cheers
