    DEC cat part #

Aynone know exactly what the DEC cat # should be for the E28 M5? Bavauto sells the # with BMW1411. Some other places lists the BMW1411A as the part. Many sites lists the BMW1411 as the cat for the E30 M3.
    Thanks.

Don't do it.... Fitment sucks BIG TIME

I have one in my garage. DEC is right near my house and I went to the factory and purchased it. $500 isn't a bad price but I could never keep it sealed to my headers and exhaust..., the flanges they user are to large and the gaskets don't seal well. Also, the pipes used to make up the cat are pieced together..., and is very sloppy fabrication. I could have done a better job inmy garage with my mini mig welder.

Buy the OEM cat if you can afford it or look for another supplier. Maybe have a local muffler shop make one up for you. They buy the cat section from a generic supplier and then add on the pipes to fit your car. If the muffler shop does SS work they should be able to give you a nice product.

    Here's some pics.
