Re: Resetting Oil Service
Here are the instructions. I used them on my 2001 325I and they worked just fine.
1. The ignition key must be in the off position
2. Press and hold the trip odometer button and the ignition key to the accessory position.
3. Keep the thge button pressed for approximately 5 more seconds until any of the following words appear in the display "Oil Service", or "Inspection".
4. Press the button again and hold for approximately 5 seconds until the words "reset" or "re" flash.
5. While the display is flashing, press the button briefly to reset the service interval.
6. After the display has shown the new interval the following will appear in the display for approximately 2 seconds "END SIA"
You must wait approximately 50 - 75 miles before attempting to reset the system again.
