I would like to turbo the 2.5 liter BMW I have. I found a 3.5 liter air flow box. Would this be useful in my quest for parts?

I was once told the air flow box from a mid 80's turbo T-Bird would be good to have. Remove the internals from the T-bird box and install in the 2.5 box.

The turbo I have will only produce 10 psi at the absolute max, I was thinking the 3.5 liter box might have the flow rate to accuratley measure the increased flow rate, but how would the stock 1989 Motronic hadle that info?

Is this a good dorection to go?
