I bought my '01 a year ago with 112,000 (now has 125K.) All I have done is replace oil. Clutch was new, shocks were evidently new. These bimmers are STRONG. The irony on higher mileage cars is that many wear and tear parts have already been replaced. It's not the labor that costs so much as the parts. -Marc

Looks a little chewed up...
On the plus side, it was very honest of them to show pictures of the damaged interior trim bits and wheel. Mine hasn't reached that mileage but maintenance hasn't been that bad yet. Some of the parts do seem a bit overpriced to me. Consider that the sun visors are $300 each, a new wheel $500, but given that the new price on these cars was ~$75K, it could be worse. As more people buy used ones and wreck them, there will be a better used-part market over the next couple years.
