    3.8A draw on fuse #27

I'm chasing down a battery killing current draw (shocking, I know) and I've ruled out the trunk light. With the trunk open, I'm getting a 4 amp draw, with the trunk pin depressed, I'm still getting a 3.8 amp draw until I pull fuse number 27. Any help narrowing the culprit down from the list of suspects below would be appreciated.

    Fuse 27 (30 A)
-Interior Lights (also fuses 19, 21)
    -Central Locking
    -Radio / Antenna (also fuses 12, 21, 28)
    -On-Board Computer (also fuses 10, 12, 21)

is the lock heater element on that fuse?

I would think that would be a higher draw than 3.8 amps though. Worth a look.

Yes, it is. I'll look at that next.

I agree, 3.8A does seem like a low draw for a lock heater, maybe only one is stuck on? Any way you slice it, it seems to be a common enough problem for me to pop off the door panel, disconnect the lock heater, and re-check the circuit. Thanks!

It was the lock heater on fuse 27.

I pulled the door panel off and disconnected the lock heater, and the mystery 3.8A draw on the fuse 27 circuit went away. Seeing as how this car isn't driven in rain, let alone snow, there is no chance of the lock freezing up, so I just left it disconnected, taped over the open ends and zip-tied the connector ends to different parts of the wiring harness so they wouldn't rattle around in the door.

    Thanks for all the help.
