    Any insight on M6 Coupe?

I just put my order in on the M6 convertible that will go into production in September. While I'm very excited about the new car I'm also a little apprehensive given the price, not being able to see or drive one, etc. as well as the mixed reviews I've read on the SMG transmission.

As such, I would very much appreciate any feedback from those who purchased the M6 Coupe. Thanks

    LOVE my M6 Coupe!

Goes fast, handles great, quite plush. My M3 was bumpy and rough compared to the stable M6.

I love everything about it -- except the almost non-existant back seat (I'd like to have judt a little space back there) and the terrible gss mileage.

My wife didn't like the M3 at all (when I met her she was driving a 260Z with manual tranny) but likes the M6.

    SMG is GREAT IMHO.

    Thanks

Now that I've order it I'm sort of in that "are you crazy" mode.

I've heard mixed reviews on the SMG so I'm glad to hear you really like it.

I realize gas mileage is in direct proportion to the weight of one's foot but what has been your average? The gas tank isn't that big so hopefully you aren't having to fill up multiple times each week...

I ordered Sapphire Black (convertible) with black interior and carbon fiber trim but am thinking of changing to Indy Red as it hasn't moved into production yet. Any thoughts on color combo or the carbon fiber trim (which I haven't seen) for the convertible?

    Thanks again.

    gas mileage for M6

I might get 16mpg on hwy only. In town I get 12mpg. Need gas x2/wk due to small tank. Is an irritant.

Dunno re color, I'm colorblind (enuf to screw up my judgement).
