    X5 Blower Fuse

    Hi,
Got 2001 X5, 80,000 miles and mo blower is dead. No A/C no ventilation.
I was looking to check fuse on blower, but on fuse panel (trunk, RH side) there is none listed.
Does anybody know more about that ?
Also noticed that on that panel I mostly have auxiliary equipment fuses, but no major (like power windows, p/locks,) where are than fuses for major circuits ?
I'm new to X5 (and BMW), great car, but sometimes puzzling...:)

    Thank you very much,
    januszon

It is likely not the fuse

It is a bad final stage resistor. The fuse rarely blows. This is a very common problem. No fan, no or abnormal behavior, works like it has a mind of its own...these are all symptoms. This link may help.

    Re: X5 Blower Fuse

For your info the fuse panel is in the glove box at the top. And yes the problem is most likely the final stage.
