    Guibo & driveshaft

Several years ago when I replaced my guibo from Turner Motorsports, I initially received the wrong sized one based on my car's VIN and 12/87 production date. Doing some web research, the guibo part number is 26117511454. The web site indicates that the supplement LK is 96mm in diameter, whereas the D is 135 mm. The larger diameter guibo fit the bolt pattern of my driveshaft. I now need to have my driveshaft repaired/replaced. The local BMW dealership attests that there was only driveshaft and guibo for all cars produced in 1987. However, when I contacted Driveline Service of Portland, upon the recommendation of a local independent BMW mechanic/E30 M3 racer, they swear there was a mid year split. Turner Motorsports is no longer offering guibo's for the E30 M3 on its website. Can anyone verify the mid year split and provide the part numbers for the guibo and driveshaft? Thanks in advance.

As far as I know there was only 1 part number ever available for the car, 26117511454

Some people upgrade the guibo with the thicker one that came on the E34 M5. Maybe this is the one you have.
