After Petite Le Mans, M3 is obviously underpowered
The Panoz driven by SeaBass pulled Bill so easily down the straights it wasn't even funny. Bill was giving it his all, pushing the car past the limits, but each time he got the pass done, the Panoz would just lumber by on the straight making it look like the Panoz was a GT-1 car. Without more power, the M3 is just not competitive.
It is a true measure of how good PTG and the PTG drivers are that they can have that car up in the mix and on the podium occasionally.
It was too bad to see Bill make that mistake. It was obvious why it happend though. He had to keep his momentum up or the Panoz would catch him on the straight. You can't push that hard through every corner every time and not eventually see a mistake. It was a hell of a drive! It also sucked that they couldn't pull him out of the kitty litter and at least let him salvage 4th or 5th.

Re: After Petite Le Mans, M3 is obviously underpowered
I enjoyed that GT2 race.
The father of a friend of mine runs Gran Prix Imports in Wilsonville, Oregon. It is an authorized Panoz dealership. His son recently told me that Panoz is working on a sports car with over 600 hp.
My friend is John Warn and his dad is Michael Warn whose grandfather, Arthur Warn, founded Warn Industries in 1948. Think Warn winches.
Michael founded Gran Prix Imports with Matt Crandall who was the manager of the oldest Ferrari dealership in North America.

Cool. A friend of mine keeps telling me I need to get up the GP Imports and look at the cars. He says there is always something cool and exotic there.
I like the look and the sound of the Panoz. I root for them if the BMW's aren't around or are totally non-competitive. The only thing I don't like about the Eperante is the dash. I just don't like the center dash setup on them. But, it is not like I can afford one anyway. :(
