bluetooth phone indicators???

when I use my phone on the bluetooth sometimes I get just the antenna bars and sometimes I get the bars and a little phone icon. Does the phone icon mean anything. There are no instructions for anything in the manual.

Thanks, did you just figure that out or are there instructions anywhere that I just didn't see. My manual doesn't even tell you how to pair the phone but bmws website has a video that shows how. BMW could use some help on documentation.

Try around page 20. At least that is the '05 manual
