Good Body shop guy - Baltimore MD

I have a 1970 BMW 2002 (E10) which has some rust along the left bottom side. I'd like to have the rust cut out and also to replace the two strut towers. Anyone have a recommendation for a Baltimore body shop guy who could do this work?

    All replies appreciated.

I know you posted at the 2002 forum...

and have the info from Gary S. There's a guy from the 2002faq board that lives in NoVA and supposedly has a shop in B'more area - Mike Hannigan. He sells parts on eBay with his name run together as his seller name. From what I've noticed he's hard to get in touch with, at least via the forum.

I got in touch with him via ebay email. We are going to talk next week about my 70 2002. Have you heard if he does good work?

I used a guy in Baltimore recommended by BMW of Towson. I don't know if he's still in business. It was something like CarStar autobody on Monument Ave. He did an incredible job.

I met with Mike Hannigan last week. He has a shop in Canton and seems very knowledgible about 02's. He is also reasonable. He will do the work on my car in about a week or so. I'll keep the board informed of the progress, and hopefully Mike will take some pictures along the way so we can post.

Mike Hannigan is doing the restoration and is doing a great job at reasonable prices. If all goes well, I get my car back this weekend.
