parasitic loss

I have a '89 M3 w/ a drain of about 80mA. As soon as I pull #21 fuse. it drops to 8mA. I unplugged the blue connector from the IC, and amperage dropps to 15mA. I do notice on the IC that the SI board is showing a yellow light. I had the board replaced a few years ago by Programa inc. but since i don't drive the car much. i sometimes unplug the battery, and therefore drains the SI board batteries.

in comparison, i checked w/ another car ('89 325i), and it's drain is about 34mA. so, i'm thinking there is something draining the battery in the SI board. Any thoughts?

i remember reading a while ago about bypassing the SI board entirely. does anyone remember how to do it?

Did you ever check the alternator?
