    Hello All,

My car is out of warranty in a few weeks, and I would like to know if there is any problem that I could report that will automatically make the dealer up issue the cars software ??.

Re: How To Obtain Software Update

Tell them the I-Drive is has been taking over a minute to boot at startup... and.... tell them sometimes when you click on things it takes you to the "settings" instead of where you want to go. And that you herd there is a new version of the software.

Or just tell the service guy you want latest software your warranty is almost up.

BUT(my disclaimer)... sometimes... if it ain't broke don't fix it.

Also there is a recall on the steering sensor, so that may be a good excuse to also get the software updated (if you can).

Also you ever consider getting extended service/warranty plan?
