    2000cs suspension

What parts, if any, are interchangeable between a 2002 and a 2000cs? Trailing arms, struts, etc...Could I upgrade the axles? I realize that this is not an e9 but maybe someone can help.

    thanks,
    h

What do you mean by upgrading the axles?

    Re: 2000cs suspension

The 2000CS shares some suspension parts with 2002s: front control arms and ball joints, most of the rubber suspension bushings, sway bars, rear half shafts, steering boxes, track/tie rods.

The struts and shocks are different though, and if 2002 struts fit, I think they would be a downgrade. I think the trailing arms are different too, but not sure. You can use E9 CS rear shocks and front shock top bearings.

If you are asking about axles because you want to change to 5 lug wheels, I would look at 2800CS trailing arms and front hubs. I think there is a good chance they will bolt up. The brake rotors are the same size as are the rear drums. The 2000CS front brake calipers and master cylinders are different from all later BMWs and I don't know of another caliper that you can use.

    Re: 2000cs suspension

Well, the axles in the cs were of the u-joint type. I thought perhaps i could use the booted style that is used on my 2002. See I've got a bunch of 02 stuff and thought i might be able to apply it to my dad's recent cs project...but its not easy for me to get measurements as the car is at the bodyshop.

    I appreciate your help.

    thanks,
    h

Sorry for the delay in responding. You can use 2002 rear axles/halfshafts in your 2000CS. I've changed mine.
