Headlights post "performance upgrade"
Is it possible that my headlights could have ended up out of "alignment" after I got the fix installed? Seems like they only throw light about a car length in front of my car unless they're on high. Last night was the first time I've had the car out at night after I got the performance upgrade.
Did they have to do anything in there when they did the fix that could have affected the headlights? Seems unlikely but I thought I'd ask.

sensor
Its been a while so I'm sure I will have part of this information incorrect. But at the time of my upgrade Classic BMW Richardson, Texas was aware of the potential problem. I believe he told me there is some little sensor that has to be remounted correctly. I don't think the problem is solved just by aiming the headlights.

Headlights and the PP
It seems to have occurred in over 50% of the performance package upgrades, and is easily corrected by either plugging in the forgotten power plug for the headlight auto levelers, or reversing the plug. Mine was corrected in 5 minutes after an hour's drive back to the dealer with no problems since.

It was mine
The elevation sensor was out of adjustmet following the installation of the Performance Package. The Z8 has height adjustable lights. If you watch on a surface in front of you, say your garage door, the lights will be very low when you first turn themn on, will then move up the surface then back down. There are sensors on a front and diameterically opposed rear wheel that alow the car to deremine its rake and lean side-to-side and adjust the elevation of the headlights. These get out of calibration when the lights are taken out for the Performance Package installation.
Scary, isn't it?
