Weird noise when engine is under load
Guys..., I have a noise coming from the left side of the engine when under heavy load. The noise is best heard when I'm driving along a row of car or a wall on my left side, and sounds like compressed air spitting, and gets louder as I push the gas pedal down.
Last winter I replaced the head gasket, timing chain parts and rebuilt the head. I'm not totally convinced that it's the head gasket leaking. There is no contamination of fluid, compression is all good and the car screams.
Could this be possibly a hole in the header, maybe around the accordion thingy ? The only issue that makes this problem seem like a head gasket is that the noise is very high pressure and release type sound and the pulse or rhythm is different then what I know as an exhaust leak.
Just looking for insight.
Philo.
