    M5---How much $$$$???

A guy I konw is in need of fast cash. He is willing to sell me his 89 E34 M5 euro-spec (german)for $12,000 canadian. IMO the car is only average condition and needs some attention nothing major (I think). I'm use to working on my e34 and e39 (not M's)so I'm not to worried about the time and work.
What do you guys think it's worth??? Seems like a good price to me!!

It is a good price. You could turn around and sell it for $15K easy (more in some places) if it is rust-free and mechanically sound. I've seen people asking for 18 to 20K for similar cars. Of course, a car with a shoddy transmission or bad compression is a bad deal at just about any price so have it inspected and make sure it was well taken care of...

Note that there is very little difference between an 89 euro and 89 US/CDN spec car.

I'd wait until he is a little more desparate :-)

There are many M5s on the market at that price and lower with less miles and appear to be in excellent condition.

You don't wanna buy these cars in ave. condition because $$$$$
