Worked in Athens during 2004 Olympics for 9 months
and is a beautiful place. I managed to stay at Athens Plaza right in midle of eveything and really loved the food and the people, althou' they will cheat you the moment you turn your head the other way :) I guess the Bizantin / Turkish culture did its job :) But despite of small details like those it was a great experience.
After the 2004 Olympics I took my wife to Mykonos for 3 weeks with a well deserved bonus $$$$. I was in charge with the security and everything went perfect... so everybody got excited :)
But yes Greece is such a beautiful land, and so much history....

Dubrovnik is wonderful ... especially the setting
If the ship departs to the northwest .. the monks will ring the bell in their church.
We know a goldsmith in Corfu who does very unusual work and sculptures. If you are interested let me know.
The Seaborne ships are 600 feet in length, approx 125 cabins, all suites - a very beautiful ship. Service is impecable.
