I was doing my daily morning scan of all the major "news" networks over breakfast and all I could find was live coverage of Paris Hilton's ride to court.

That must mean all the world's problems and issues were solved while I was asleep last night, so this remains as the most important news item of the day.

Wow, this is so exciting! World peace at last!!!

She has more money than God and rather than just hire a driver she drives with a suspended license, risking jail-time...

as somebody smart said - they locked up the only woman in america who is willing to cook, decorate, paint a house, still does crafts, have money, good look (she used to be a model) yet all the drug dealers and rapist sadist gangsta guys are out because of a good lawyer. When Martha was in the can the world was safer ?
SAme thing again - Miss Hilton will still drive and drink no matter what. she should have been ordered to pay 1M USD to a children hospital or similar benefit.
She DOES HAVE the money and by locking her up will NOT solve anything. The Judge is an idiot and he hates the her alike little debuntantes but still does not fixes the issue.
Had he order her to pay and stay off the street (house arrest for 60 days) that would have been a much better punishment.
or communitiy service for 80 hours. she was funny as hell in the Simple Life 1&2 (anyhting after was a money making stretch)
I feel no sympathy but 45 days for driving w/o license is a LOT. This is NOTHING compare to real crimes and some people get less for that.

Seriously...

Why does everyone hate this girl? The DUI thing just gave everyone who hated her before a good reason to hate her now. Before she got the DUI and then violated the terms of her probation she hadn't done anything wrong except be rich. In other words, some sort of divine intervention placed her in the right uterus 20 some-odd years ago and she got lucky and ended up born with money. Sort of like winning the lottery at birth.

I dont hate her at all. What I do hate is all the fuss over her, both pre and post DUI. When I think of Paris Hilton, I think of Carl's Jr. ;-)

She is just a little spoiled rich brat and should do a year in a real prison and not just a county jail so she could learn a little about life, respect and about abiding the law. She thinks becuase she is an heiress to billions of dollars, has B**BS and blonde hair that she can do what she wants and smile and get off scott free.....
