missing at start -up
I've got a 88 M5, 170K, and recently it's been missing out at start-up, when the car is cold, and it goes away in 60-90 secs. It's a steady miss. It's got great power, and no other issues or changes. I've searched the archives and my guess would be dirty/stuck injectors, or maybe the ICV valve. Any other ideas/experiences? Also, where is the icv exactly? Thanks for any input...

Re: I think I'd check the temperature senders and
Before you start pulling injectors try some good gas and some injector cleaner. Make sure the air cleaner element is clean, plugs are in good shape, cap/rotor are ok. To check all of this takes about an hour max.
My guess is the plugs are fouling slightly during the cold start cycle which is pretty rich. At start up I'm measuring 13.2-1 on my wide band.
Philo.
