Need lowering kit for my 2007 650CIC
Just had my new 2007 650CIC Sport last week, changed to 20" wheels/tires, SSR GT3 20x8.5, 20X9.5, now need to lower it about 1", any advice? which brand? don't like too bumpy ride, H&R, Eibach, or Dinan? and any idea how much I can get from the stock RFT tires(less than 400 miles)? thanks.

Re: Need lowering kit for my 2007 650CIC
I had the Dinan kit installed on my 2006 650i several months ago.
It lowered the car by approx 1" and did not change the ride quality in any way. I didn't notice a great deal of change in cornering either, perhaps a mite stiffer.
Personal opinion only, but I think lowering it any more than that would the corrupt the aesthetics of the car.

Re: Need lowering kit for my 2007 650CIC
**Shameless plug warning** (I'm selling my set, but not here, I have them listed at a very FESTive place)
Now, the reality......
IMHO, the best setup is coil overs. I just took a set of KW Variant 3 coil overs off my 650i (I bought an M6)
Disadvantages of springs
- The lowering measurement is fixed, no height adjustment
- The ride quality is fixed, no dampening settings
- The rebound is fixed, no adjustment
The KW V3 coil overs solve all those issues. The only downside is that they are expensive, many times more than traditional springs.

Re: Need lowering kit for my 2007 650CIC
The Dinan website does not list a lowering kit or springs and several calls to them have produced nothing bu unanswered vm's for the only sales rep who can answer my simple question. I may try a local Dinan dealer, but wanted to get the facts from Dinan first. I do not want the expense and potential complexity of coilovers. Your comments are most helpful, as I do not want to change the dynamics of the car, just lower it a bit.
