now it is probably not as large as the CS concept in size and will be most likely 6 and 8 cylinder engines not V10 but the shape I love. it is also a concept so expect some changes to the details to make it user friendly and DOT compliant but still the shape is a looker.

well it is the CLS's fault. looks coupe with 4 dr
and people loved it. MB made a load of money with it, so now everybody is rushing to come out with a similar model.
They say that Maserati Quattroporte is similar category, well, their coupe is nice the 4dr is a dog.
I like this Jag and a promise to keep base price around 40k range (top v8 model closing on 70k) sounds really nice. hope it will not mean lower quality. <a href="http://mydrive.roadfly.com/photos/pic.php?u=56726KDZYN&i=5166"><img src="http://mydrive.roadfly.com/photos/pic.php?u=56726KDZYN&i=5166" border="0"></a>

update - 2008 spring arrival ! S-Type replacement
so here is the official words on the car - XF type and replacing the S-type. Price range should be same and engines ditto. 6 and 8 cylinders with a supercharged possible.
any way I look at it, this is a great shape. if they keep the inside nice and elegant this might be a good 5 series fighter. it wins hands down the look department.
November 28, 2006 — Jaguar Cars today announces that a new sports sedan, the Jaguar XF, will make its public debut next fall. Positioned in the luxury mid-size segment, the new Jaguar XF will replace the S-TYPE sedan in the Jaguar model line-up.
Designed and developed at Jaguar's Product Development Center at Whitley in Coventry, UK, the new Jaguar XF will be built at Jaguar's Advanced Manufacturing Center at Castle Bromwich in Birmingham, UK.
"The Jaguar XF is a new sports sedan that will challenge people to think again about Jaguar as daring and different," commented Bibiana Boerio, managing director of Jaguar Cars. "Our new XK sports car has been very well-received and is enjoying great success. We are now moving on to the next stage of Jaguar's exciting new design era – and if you like the new XK, just wait until you see the new Jaguar XF!"
Customer deliveries of the new Jaguar XF will commence in spring 2008, dependent on market.<a href="http://mydrive.roadfly.com/photos/pic.php?u=56726KDZYN&i=5166"><img src="http://mydrive.roadfly.com/photos/pic.php?u=56726KDZYN&i=5166" border="0"></a>
