    Selling e46 M3 for a 135i

I like the recent released pictures of the 135i. The performance seems to be very close to the e46 M3, may even be better. I think I might sell my 2003 M3 SMG for a 135i(a). Hopefully, I can get a 6 speed auto. Of course, I'll have to test drive one first before making the final decision.

I would like to get SMG on the 135i too, but

I plan to keep the 135i for a long time. Just not sure how reliable it is long term.

    Re: Selling e46 M3 for a 135i

It's high on my list of possible replacements for my 2003 Z4 next year.
Other contenders include the upcoming 2009 A3 3.2 Cabriolet and the next gen Z4 due out in 2009.

I think I'll do the same

before my registration is due in November. I've read many post on the M forum and e46 forum. Most of them complained about how ugly the 135i was. I think it was a knee jerk reaction that most people have about ANY new BMW models.

    Re: Selling e46 M3 for a 135i

I currently drive an '03 M3 SMG, which replaced a track/street '95 E36 M3. I think the new 135i with little to no mods will be a great car around the track. I will be first on the list where I am, although I am also considering the Z4 Coupe (non-M).

    Cheers!

My wife just bought a Solstice GXP (I actually like it except it's awfully small). Damn, I wish she would have waited until this came out. I hate to part with my 2003 540, but I think this car looks awesome!!!

I think I am going to move my deposit on the e92 m3 to the 135i. More bang for the buck. YAY

Re: I think you can buy

A guy on m3forum lives in UAE or Saudi Arabia said his E46M3 costed him 55k and the new E92M3 priced out around 90k there. :-) Maybe when I start making 300k a year I will consider a 70k dollar car.

    Re: Selling e46 M3 for a 135i

They say the 135i is a little faster than the E46 M3 because of the weight difference, and about the same size and power.
