why does a sunroof looks good ? its a black spot

on a nice paint :-( dumb and dumber. dumb person who created it and a dumber who buys them.
I wanted to get rid of mine, but the cost of it was 300-400USD (welded panel, finish, headliner mods, etc) so I opted to keep it there.
if somebody would give me a 1000usd I would take the whole thing out... and I would never pay 24.99 for a sticker to make it look like.... besides for a few hundred bucks, you can buy a real glass sunroof and that actually works.

works meaning to me :
a. lets water into the cabin if the seal is dry or old
2. lets sunlight in so heats up the cabin and makes it hard to drive in sunny days

EXACTLY! I might have kept mine if I could

have sat upright in it. I was considering doing the roof replacement mod to get rid of it.

I'd love to have the new 335i,...but BMW will not allow you to import one,..even if you custom order it and get European delivery.

Non-sunroof roof pannel for the 335i coupe costs $750,..non-sunroof headliner costs another $750. Figure $600 - $1,000 in labor (or do it yourself),..nnd another $250 or so for paint,....= $2,500 ish.

Very jealous of the J spec owners.

Most of my money I spent on beer and women, the rest I just wasted. :)))

Somebody already does bullet hole and paint ball decals. I'll bet you could find door dings if you look hard enough.

A guy I used to do some work with there in Albuquerque used the bullet hole ones to cover up a nasty rock chip in the saddle bag on his Harley. Just realistic enough to make you look twice.

Hey Matt we have something in common now

We both have a vehicle with a 5.6 L aluminum engine :-)

But I need to get the fake sunroof for mine.

The one about the fake ABS light without having the expense of real ABS cracked me up. I was just rolling.

Reminds me of the Telephony years ago. A fake Cellular telephone to put in your car

Dave
