Smiley face front air scoop!

Anybody know if the "smiley face' lower air scoop on the coupe is the final design for the U.S. version? I like the cabrio version better -- less whimsical, more pragmatic-looking and elegant.

I want to get the coupe. I hope the more elegant cabrio front air scoop will be standard in the U.S. 1-series -- or at least dealer-installable.

is the "M" sport front end which is standard on bothe the 135i Coupe & Cabrio.
The facia on the Cabrio is Standard on both the 128i Coupe & Cabrio.

You asked the question if the "smiley face" airdam is std on the U.S. version 1er. The answer is YES it is std on both the 135i Coupe and the 135i Cabrio.
The airdam shown on the 128i cabrio in your 1st post (which you apparently prefer) is standard on both the 128i coupe and 128i cabriolet.<img src=http://usera.imagecave.com/vhawk/Newsig.jpg>

I suppose you could always order the other front end for the 135i. I haven't seen any photos of a 1-series convert which state whether the car in the photo is a 128 or 135.

To my knowledge the "pragmatic - elegant" front end is std on the 128i only.

Keep in mind, BMW can make changes up to the last minute.

"Smiley" face front bumper is confirmed for 135i coupe and 'vert.

"elegant" front bumper is confirmed for 128i coupe and 'vert.

This has been known for a while now; pay attention.
